City of Westlake Village Contributes $50,000 for Small Business Relief Fund

If you are a business owner in the City of Westlake Village or neighboring cities, you may be eligible for local grant funding.

The City of Westlake Village has contributed $50,000 for business grants offered through the Conejo Valley Small Business Relief Fund.  The program was created by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation, in partnership with the cities of Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills.

The relief fund is geared to help local small businesses endure the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic is gearing up to offer much-needed financial grants.

100% of the funds are being distributed to small businesses with less than 25 employees in the Conejo Valley and Westlake Village’s contribution will go specifically to businesses in Westlake Village.

Already, businesses have been awarded micro-grants of up to $2,500 and are using the grant money for things like purchasing required personal protective equipment (PPE), expanding their restaurant’s outdoor seating (as the County’s Health Order allows) into parking lots, by special city permit, and paying the bills.

Right now, the Foundation is beginning its third round of grants so businesses interested in applying for a grant should do so by October 23, 2020.
