Our community has come together more than ever to ensure the comfort and safety of all. Below you can find support for seniors as well as information on essential retailers and restaurants offering pick-up and delivery of food and linkages to key services operating in our community.
Residential Assistance for Seniors
Senior Concerns is ready to help! Here are some of the services offered:
Shopping and Errand Services
Senior Concerns has vetted over 60 new volunteers ready to serve the community. If a senior reports they need help getting groceries, supplies or medications, we will match them to a volunteer willing to help. The senior will receive guidelines and information in the mail about how the services work. They will be contacted by a friendly volunteer who will assess what they need and shop for them. Their goods will be delivered with no contact and always follow social distancing guidelines. The senior reimburses the volunteer with a check for their items.
Not only will this senior have the services they need but they will know a caring community member will be checking on them throughout this crisis and respond as their needs arise. Seniors should contact mshapiro@seniorconcerns.org or call 805-497-0189.
Pantry Distribution of Goods
Senior Concerns is a drop off site for non-perishable donations. These foods and toiletries are available to be distributed to seniors in need who are not able to reimburse for a personal grocery shopping trip. These are also able to supplement shopping trips when stores are out of certain items. Seniors should contact mshapiro@seniorconcerns.org or call 805-497-0189.
Socialization
Volunteers can be matched with seniors for friendly phone calls to reduce isolation and depressive feelings during this difficult time. Children are sending in cards that Senior Concerns distributes to seniors at home. Seniors should contact mshapiro@seniorconcerns.org or call 805-497-0189.
Case Management
The Social Worker at Senior Concerns is here to answer calls and support families with all resources and information from 9-5 Monday- Friday. The social worker can also help coach the senior through signing up for prescription delivery services and other delivery options to support the stay at home order. Seniors should contact csalas@seniorconcerns.org or call 805-497-0189.
Caregiver Support
Online virtual Caregiver Support Groups will commence on Friday, March 27th and are open to all family caregivers. Contact csalas@seniorconcerns.org to sign up. An email address will be needed to sign up for the video support group.

Grocery & Pharmacy Information
The City of Westlake Village is working diligently to provide its residents the resources and information you need to locate and purchase necessities. We have been in contact with local grocery stores and pharmacies to identify hours of operation and pick up and home delivery options, which we have noted for you below. We will continue to update this information on a regular basis.
Additionally, please be advised that Officials and the California Grocers Association (CGA) have assured the public that supply chains remain working properly and that there is no shortage of food or supplies.
Currently all local grocery stores and pharmacies are open. At this time, grocery stores are experiencing higher than normal traffic as residents are preparing to practice social distancing, work remotely, and self-isolate.
Pharmacies remain open and have adapted to social distancing protocols by allowing prescriptions to be called in, picked up at the door, and delivered to your home. Each pharmacy is handling the situation differently.
For residents who are unable to obtain the groceries and supplies that they require the City encourages them to make use of the following programs that are available to them:
- The Chabad of the Conejo has offered to assist seniors or others who are not able to leave their home and are in need of supplies or services. Please call (818) 991-0991 or email them at rabbibryski@chabadconejo.com.
- Meals on Wheels – Meals on wheels is a program that delivers meals to individuals at home who are in need. To find food for yourselves or your loved ones in need contact your local branch by visiting their website or by calling 805-496-2009.
